 The company was founded in 1963 by Mr. Ganes Pillay  who grew the company from a single unit to a current fleet complement of over 180 vehicles.

Acquisitions of new tankers together with a strong focus on staff development,  training  and safety gave birth to the company’s Tanker Division.

The company is a family-owned and managed business, with its head office based  in Jacobs, Durban with branches in Epping, Cape Town and in Boksburg, Johannesburg.  Together with a team of experienced and well-trained drivers and  a fleet of distinctive vehicles, Gantrans is known for its commitment and reliability. Strong family values, integrity and transparency remain the corner stones of the Gantrans ethos. Customer satisfaction and cutting edge road transport technology are the driving forces of the organization.
